July 2014, Edge earned his CKC Master Hunt title on Vancouver Island in style. We had some difficult test during the summer and Edge titled the right moment in time at the first ever Upper Island Retriever Club Hunt Test on Vancouver Island. We were able to celebrate his title at our own trial and Swamp Dog Farm’s Saturday dinner. What fun to celebrate with friends and your training partners. Well done my boy.

Edge also sired two beautiful litters in June, 2014. The first to Rio Ranch Bella Fuma Caliente WC, Bella http://k9data.com/pedigree.asp?ID=403212. Eight healthy happy pups were born. Four girls and four boys were all placed in good working and hunting families. We are excited to watch these puppies grow and become great Hunting Buddies.

The second litter of pups was born also in June 2014 to Risqué, HRCH UH Foxton’s GNG Gawd Darn Risque Can MH WCX CD CCA CGN, http://k9data.com/pedigree.asp?ID=351416. Risqué is owned by Louise and Rick Roberts of Millbay, BC. It’s been a pleasure to see Risqué work over the years and was very pleased with the eight puppies Edge and her brought in the world together. We decided to keep a male pup from this litter. We named him Krash, now 5 months old and already showing promise in field, obedience and agility. GoldnGun 1Drdogs Knock’m Over. This little pup is living up to his name, full of confidence and not afraid of anything.Edge is an example of a wonderful Golden Retriever male.

In December 2014, Edge and Covey became proud parents of 10 healthy puppies, 7 males and 3 females.  All the puppies are well and with Covey’s c0-owner, Jane Blum.

Edge is focused, biddable, handsome, birdie, athletic, gentle, smart, and playful. What ever I teach him to do he does it 100 percent with enthusiasm and a willingness to please. He is maturing into a smart, confident and capable dog. His list of performance accomplishments for such a young dog are impressive and this boy has an amazing future.

Edge is amateur trained by me in agility, tracking, field, conformation, hunting, and obedience. Goldens have been a part of my family for years and Edge is my 5th golden. He lives with my older male Whattson and my younger female Siren and his son Krash. He truly is one of my best versatile and easy to train Goldens. Edge has all his clearances; Hips OFA Excellent, Elbows OFA Normal, Heart OFA Normal, Eyes are CERF clear and done yearly. His Thyroid is normal and titers are checked yearly. His pedigree is certainly unique and impressive.

His Sire, Push – Can Triple CH FTCH AFTCH OTCH Firemark’s Push Comes to Shove Can WCX Am.*** OS made Canadian history by being the only living Golden Retriever to obtain a Triple Championship. In July 2010, I met Push in Ottawa where he lives with his family. Edge reminds me of his daddy, playful, focused, and a willing to please. He is the first son from Push to obtain his Canadian Championship. Edge’s first win in the conformation ring was awarded by a well-known golden retriever breeder judge. A remarkable statement of his good looks and structure. His Dam, Next – Can CH AGMCHV Goldcker’s What’s Next AGX AGXJ RE CD CGN VCI Am OJP NAP NFP RN TNE WVN is a performance and conformation championship dog. She has beautiful structure, pigment, her movement is flawless in the ring. She is currently working toward her Grand Master Agility and her CDX. Next is smart, hard working and a beautiful girl. We thoughtfully planned this exceptional breeding and produced this lovely hard working, gentle temperament, biddable male.

Edge and I started upland hunting pheasants, ducks, chucker’s, and partridge when he was just 6 months old. He hits the cover hard, will work all day in the hot sun or cold if you ask him. He will hunt his little heart out for me, brave, determined and will go the distance. I have to be careful because he has no fear of heights or distance. He has been known to chase a crippled wild pheasant more than 400 yards, coming back with a bird in mouth unharmed. He is strong and has a very soft mouth with all the game. Not a puncture mark ever. We hunt with many intact males and have never had any issues.

Edge is versatile, structurally sound, fast in the field, and on the agility courses. He is focused, strong running on the land and swimmer in the water; a confident and excellent marker in the field. Still very much a puppy at heart he loves to work and is a great team member of my family.

Available at stud to approved bitches only.
