Cool SirenMeet Siren

Pull over here comes Siren!

HRCH Rio’s 1DRDOGS Pullover MH Can JH WC AGN

Siren had an amazing year with her best friend and professional field trainer Andy Fontenot at Waterdog Kennels in Winlock Washington.

She started the beginning of 2014 training in Louisiana getting prepared for The Grand in April 2014. In her debut at the Grand last year she made it to the second of five series.   This year she made it through the fourth of five series, quite an accomplishment for this young girl.

After the Grand she spent the summer qualifying for her AKC Master Hunter title. At the end of the summer she obtained her title and one additional pass….qualifying her for the Master National in California.

Siren MN 134The Master National is a challenging 10 day event that is attended by over 400 dogs (the best of the best for the season). Siren went on to pass all the series and qualify on her first time at the Master National. She is the youngest Golden Retriever in 2014 to qualify.

She is now taking a well-deserved rest at home.

We named her Siren because she had a red collar and as a young puppy she was always and still is constantly on the move.  Siren is a charmer, full of spunk, curious about life, with a wonderful play drive, amazing energy and willing to please at any task. This little girl is growing up to be a focused young dog with an intensity to turn it on when she starts to work. Birdie, biddable, athletic and cute.  She has a bright future and we are thrilled to have her as a member of our Golden Retriever family of 1drdogs. Already she is showing much promise in the field, agility and obedience rings. Keep an eye on this little firefighter!

In 2012 Siren earned her UKC Started title, passing 4 consecutive tests. her CKC Agility Novice title and finished her CKC Junior Hunter title, passing 4 consecutive tests.  In 2013 Siren showed such promise in the field that was accepted at Water Dog University in Washington under the professional training guidance of Andy Fontenot. Siren and Andy had an incredible year earning her UKC Hunting Retriever title along with her HRCH title. They also went on to earn her AKC Senior Hunter title.

In October 2013, with Siren earning her HRCH title she qualified to go to the Grand in Iowa were she made her first Grand debut. This little girl is doing exceptionally well and is currently with Andy, training for ACK Master tests in 2014.
